A little about me...
Hello, I'm a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a rich background of 25 years in supporting children, adolescents, and families. While my most recent nine years have been spent as a school counselor, I'm thrilled to now offer more comprehensive services in a clinical setting.
My approach revolves around the holistic well-being of individuals within the context of self, family, school, and community. I bring extensive expertise in areas such as stress and anxiety, depression, non-suicidal self-injury, ADHD, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. Moreover, I've worked extensively with individuals coping with grief and loss stemming from various life circumstances, including death, divorce, substance abuse, adoption/foster care, relocation, and incarceration.
With my background as an educator, I possess a deep understanding of the multifaceted challenges children face, encompassing academic, behavioral, and social/emotional aspects. As an adoptive parent, I bring a unique perspective on family dynamics, recognizing the complexities therein.
My therapeutic approach is anchored in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness techniques. I am committed to providing support and guidance as you, or your family, navigate life's challenges.
